Georgefoolery, Part 1

Posted by Daniel on January 12, 2007

For my birthday, I was the lucky recipient of a 2007 Bushisms calendar (you know the one, subtitled “The Accidental Wit and Wisdom of George W Bush.” Yes, any wit or wisdom from his bourbon addled brain would be accidental.) For you regulars, indeed for anyone passing by, I think the only decent thing to do would be to share some of these gems with you. So without further adieu, I give you Part 1 of “Georgefoolery: Elocutions of The Escalator”* sponsored by the 2007 Bushisms calendar.

“And I am an optimistic person. I guess if you want to try to find something to be pessimistic about, you can find it, no matter how hard you look, you know?”
-Washington, DC 06/15/04

JANUARY 13/14:
“It’s important for us to explain to our nation that life is important. It’s not only life of babies, but it’s life of children living in, you know, the dark dungeons of the Internet.”
-Arlington Heights, Ill 10/24/00

Yes, my friends both home and abroad, we elected this “statesman” twice. Gonna take us a LONG time to live that down.
