The Tempest Online™

~ Sic gorgiamus allos subjectatos nunc. ~

Nic Caleb PhotographyThis is where I tell you a little about who and what I am, as a person, why I write and why I have so many issues.

I wish there was an easy way to explain it all, but it’s all pretty complicated, and I don’t want to bore you with the details.

Suffice it to say that this website is now in it’s fourth incarnation since I decided to start a “blog” back in 2005.  I first started writing online as a means of dealing with the many issues of depression I used to combat.  Depression that led to lethargy.  Which began to manifest itself in my health.

I started a site on Blogger, and while I love being able to play with all the delicious HTML, it just wasn’t proving very user-friendly for me.

Then this once-personal diary morphed into a combination rant session and political soapbox.

I used to have several contributors, and while I miss each of them dearly, this newest incarnation works pretty well as it is now.

There will be gaps here and there, as I tend to vacation quite often.  But rest assured, I will always come “home” to pound out more of my opinionated crap-ola just for you.

By the way, at last glance we passed over twenty nine million viewers and have logged (and celebrated) our 20,000th subscriber.  To say how much I appreciate each and every one of you, would take words even I can’t underline enough.

(Credits:  Seth Lowe, Steve Howard, Scott Allison, Kathy Bland, Mike Martinez, Daniel Alderton, Mark Mayer and Stephanie Cellaras were invaluable to the creation and contributions to this site in their respective ways.  I can never thank all of you enough.)
